Dear Juliana,

I am a student at Tilburg University in the Netherlands and currently completing my Master’s degree in Organization Studies. Currently, I am conducting a research project about Innovation at the so-called Base of the Pyramid (BoP). Tilburg University is the central office of the BoP learning Lab Benelux, dr PAM Vermeulen is director of this office and also my supervisor in this study.

My research project concentrates on organizations that develop new products or services targeted at BoP markets. The primary aim of my study is to understand the relation between business model characteristics and innovation. With this study I hope to contribute to our understanding of how firms can improve their innovative performance in BoP markets, by adjusting their business model to create a better fit with the BoP environment.

In order to complete this project satisfactorily, I need enough respondents for my study. If you are working for a profit organization that is active in the BoP market please fill in the questionnaire, it will only take 10 minutes of your spare time.

If you not fit the above criteria please send me an e-mail if you have contact details of BoP organizations/ practitioners. If these contact details are private, you could possible forward my request with link to the online questionnaire to your contacts?

Every extra respondent is very valuable because it is very difficult to find enough respondents within this particularly market.
