Amazon Echo Look is a hands-free camera and style assistant that was phased out in 2020.
1. What do I do with my current Echo Look device?
Amazon offers a free device recycling program which we encourage you to use to dispose of your Echo Look device.
2. What will happen to my photos and videos after the device is shut off?
Amazon will automatically back up the images and videos that were stored in your Echo Look app to Amazon Photos on a free Amazon Photos account between now and July 24, 2021. If you already have an Amazon Photos account, your photos and videos will upload automatically. If you do not, you can create a free Amazon Photos account prior to July 24, 2021 to automatically retrieve your Echo Look photos and videos. You are not required to back up your photos and videos; however, if you do not create an Amazon Photos account by July 24, 2021, your photos will no longer be accessible to you, and will be deleted in accordance with our policies.
3. Is there a way to delete my photos and videos that are in my Echo Look app?
If you'd like to delete your Echo Look photos and videos, please call Amazon customer service. If you have an Amazon Photos account and do not want your Echo Look photos and videos stored there, you will also need to delete the backup copy of your photos and videos through Amazon Photos.
4. What if I try to use my device or the Echo Look app after July 24, 2020?
Echo Look and the Echo Look app will no longer work after July 24, 2020. You can still access Style by Alexa features through the Amazon Shopping app or by asking an Alexa-enabled device, “Alexa, what should I wear?”
