This is a document which describes a simple and coherent way of mapping basic infrastructure systems - toilets and sanitation, access to hospitals, transportation and everything else - showing what technologies are deployed, which groups or agencies provide which services, and so on.
It's been quite well reviewed, and is under an open license. Enjoy.
I think you'll find that it's a useful way of representing the actual ground conditions, particularly in the villages, and mapping health impacts. Showing off infrastructure projects by drawing one SCIM diagram for the before, and another for the after could be a good way to motivate funders too!
Hey, does anyone have data on how many people from the BoP work in the agriculture or live from subsistence farming? thanks...I need some data until tomorrow night latest....
