Frequently asked questions
How do I choose equal monthly payments?
At checkout, use your eligible Citi credit card and choose equal monthly payments in the order summary or payment method menu.
How much will I be charged to my credit card?
When you place your order, the total purchase amount will be deducted from your available credit. However, only your monthly payment amount will be included as part of your minimum due at each billing cycle.
How will my equal monthly payments appear on my statement?
Amazon purchases financed with equal monthly payments using a Citi credit card are processed as a Citi Flex Plan at the end of the billing period in which your items ship.
Why is the Citi Flex Plan amount different than the monthly payment amount shown at checkout?
Your equal monthly payment amount will be rounded up to the nearest dollar on your statement. Don't worry, this doesn't mean you're going to be charged extra. Your last monthly payment will cover only the remaining balance of your plan at that time, and in most cases will be lower than the previous monthly payments. The total principal amount of your monthly payments will never exceed the total purchase amount shown at checkout.
Where can I view the details of my equal monthly payment plan?
You can view the details of your Plan on your monthly Citi statement or by navigating to the Citi Flex Plan Summary page on the Citi Mobile App or citi.com. Your Plan will be processed as a Citi Flex Plan at the end of the billing period in which your items ship, until then it will appear as pended.
Do I need to adjust my AutoPay settings?
If your AutoPay setting is currently set to pay the full statement balance, we encourage you to change your AutoPay settings after your plan posts to your account to avoid potentially paying off the full amount of your plan with your next payment.
I have a Citi card, why am I not seeing the offer at checkout?
This offer is available to eligible cardmembers who have made a recent purchase on Amazon with their eligible Citi credit card and are checking out with a cart value of $100 or more. For further questions around eligibility, please call the Citi Service Center at 833-299-3436.
What orders are eligible for equal monthly payments?
Only purchases made on Amazon.com in US dollars, using your eligible Citi credit card, are eligible for equal monthly payments. Amazon may designate any product as eligible for an equal monthly payment offer as well as the number of equal monthly payments required in connection with such offer. Items not eligible for equal monthly payments include but are not limited to: Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, Amazon Prime Now, 1-Click Purchases and Subscribe & Save (if your purchase includes a recurring subscription, then the first month’s subscription fee, but not any subsequent monthly subscription fees, will also be included in the promotional purchase balance.)
Can I return merchandise that I purchased with equal monthly payments?
Purchases made with equal monthly payments at Amazon.com follow Amazon’s standard return policies. Once refund is initiated, please track the status under "Your Orders". If you see the status as "Refund on your card" and don't see the refund on your next statement, please reach out to bank for more details.
Can I use ThankYou Points and/or gift cards when I choose equal monthly payments?
Yes, eligible orders for equal monthly payments can be combined with ThankYou Points linked to Shop with Points at Amazon.com, an Amazon.com gift card or any combination of the above.
How do I contact Citi if I have questions regarding my transaction?
Please call the Citi Service Center at 833-299-3436
Terms and conditions
Important information about Citi Flex Pay on Amazon.
Equal Payment Plans. When you choose to pay for your purchase using a Citi Credit Card, you may be offered one or more equal monthly payment options during checkout. Equal monthly payments are available for the full order amount only, which must be at least $100 (including shipping + handling plus tax). Equal monthly payments may not be available to all customers or for all merchandise. Each item of merchandise in your order must be eligible for equal monthly payments to select equal monthly payments for your order. Other purchase requirements may apply and will be disclosed during checkout. Amazon purchases financed with equal monthly payments using a Card are processed as Citi Flex Plans at the end of the Card’s billing period. If any item in your order is processed as part of a Flex Plan, the item will be charged to your Citi Credit Card when shipped and you will be responsible for paying it off as part of a Flex Plan at the APR and number of payments selected at checkout. See your Card Agreement for more information about Citi Flex Plans.
Rounded Monthly Payment Amount. The monthly payment amount shown at checkout will be rounded up to the nearest dollar on your Citi statement, except for the last payment due to pay off your Citi Flex Plan balance. The rounded monthly amount for each Flex Plan that you are required to pay each billing period will be included in the Minimum Payment Due on your Citi Credit Card statement.
Splitting and Bundling. If multiple Amazon purchases are financed with equal monthly payments with the same Citi Credit Card, APR and number of payments, all items from those purchases that ship during the same billing period will be combined into one Flex Plan at the end of that billing period. If items from a single Amazon purchase are financed with equal monthly payments and ship during different billing periods, they will be split into separate Flex Plans based on the billing period in which they shipped. In either case, each Flex Plan will have the same APR and require the same number of payments that was originally selected at checkout.
AutoPay. If you are enrolled in AutoPay and have it set to pay “Last Statement Balance,” your entire Flex Plan balance may be paid in full with your next payment unless you adjust your AutoPay settings before your next scheduled payment.
Other Promotions. If another lower promo APR applies to purchases on your Card, that lower promo APR will apply to any item in your order processed as a Citi Flex Plan during the promo period, until the lower promo APR expires pursuant to the terms of such promo. After that, the promo APR disclosed at checkout will apply to the remaining balance of the Flex Plan.
When Purchases Are Not Processed as a Plan. Choosing to finance your purchase with equal monthly payments does not guarantee that your Amazon order will be processed as a Citi Flex Plan. If any item in your order is not processed as a Flex Plan but is otherwise authorized, it will be charged as a regular purchase to your Citi Credit Card and you will be responsible for payment as you normally would.
Overlimit Charges. If your Flex Plan causes you to exceed your credit limit on your Citi Credit Card, you will be responsible for paying the Overlimit Amount which may include part of your Flex Plan balance, as part of the Minimum Payment Due on your next Citi Credit Card statement. This may, consequently reduce the number of monthly payments on your Flex Plan.
Card Rewards. Selecting equal monthly payments at checkout will not affect your Citi Credit Card’s rewards. If you currently earn rewards or cash back on purchases with your Citi Credit Card, you will continue to earn those rewards or cash back on Amazon purchases financed with equal monthly payments.
Please review your Card Agreement for more information.
