You can use any amount of your available Rewards Points for your purchase. Then, charge the remaining balance to your Amazon Business American Express Card.
Once your Amazon Business American Express Card is added to your Amazon account, you can see and redeem your available Rewards Points at checkout.
Shop with Points allows you to redeem your Amazon Rewards points that you earn from purchases with your Amazon Business American Express Card. You can use Amazon Rewards points to pay for purchases at Amazon.com and Amazon Business (U.S.). Visit americanexpress.com/amazonrewards to learn more about Amazon Rewards points and where you may use them.
If you want to use your Amazon Rewards points to pay for part or all of your purchase at Amazon.com or Amazon Business (U.S.), choose your Amazon Business American Express Card as your payment method. You can choose the amount of available points you wish to redeem. Once you've selected your payment method and applied points towards your purchase, select Continue. The value of the rewards points that are applied to your order will be deducted from your order total and displayed in the Order Summary. If points are not being applied to your order, click Change under Payment Methods to use your available points.
Shop with Points is generally available to buy products at Amazon.com and Amazon Business (U.S.). Please note, however, that Amazon Rewards points cannot be used for all purchases and that items, which currently may not be purchased using Shop with Points, include some digital goods, Kindle downloads, Subscribe and Save items, and Amazon Fresh purchases. Please also note that currently you may not use one-click to purchase products using Shop with Points.
To enable Shop with Points for employees, they must be an Employee Card Member and must be authorized to use Shop with Points. To authorize Employee Card Members to use Shop with Points, the Basic Card Member can contact American Express using the number on the back of their Card.
Please contact American Express, using the number on the back of your Card, and ask to remove Shop with Points from Employee Cards associated with your Amazon Business American Express Card Account. Once these individuals are unenrolled from the program, they will no longer be able to see their points balance and redeem points directly at Amazon.com and Amazon Business (U.S.).

To redeem Amazon Rewards points, you must select the Amazon Business American Express Card that is associated with that rewards account as your payment method. The Card will only be charged in the event you choose an action that increases the cost of your order above your selected reward points, such as upgrading your shipping.
Yes, you may apply any eligible promotional coupons when making a purchase. Then, you may use your available Amazon Rewards points to pay for the remaining balance of your purchase.
No. You can only use Amazon Rewards points towards purchases at checkout at Amazon.com and Amazon Business (U.S.). You can also apply points towards charges through your Online Account at americanexpress.com/rewards by following the steps for “Use Points for Charges.”
No, you cannot currently aggregate the rewards you've earned from multiple reward programs. You may register multiple rewards programs in your Amazon.com or Amazon Business account; however, rewards purchases will be paired with the Card associated with the rewards program.
To use Amazon Rewards points for your purchase when checking out on Amazon, click the "Change" button in the Payment Method box located below the order summary and select the Amazon Business American Express Card. When Amazon Rewards points are applied to your order total, you will be able to choose the amount of available points you wish to redeem and confirm the amount applied to the purchase before you place your order. If you don't see your points, click the "Change" button in the Payment Method box. When you choose how you'd like to pay, you'll be able to apply available points to your order.
If you choose to redeem points for a purchase but you do not have enough points to cover the full purchase, you can choose to use your Amazon Business American Express Card or an Amazon.com Gift Card to pay for the remaining balance of the purchase.
No. There is no fee for using your points at Amazon.com and Amazon Business (U.S.).
You can use your points for all or part of a payment for the purchase of eligible items at Amazon.com and Amazon Business (U.S.). If you don’t have enough points to pay for a purchase, you can pay the additional cost with your Card. Amazon may deduct the number of points that you use for your purchase from your points balance when you place your order or when your order has shipped, as long as your Card account is open. Your points balance may not reflect pending transactions.
For valid returns or cancellations, your points will be credited as a statement credit on your Card, and they will not be refunded to your points balance unless you call American Express to request a conversion of the statement credit to points. This also applies to orders that remain unfulfilled for 30 days. If points were used for a completed purchase, you may contact Amazon to cancel your purchase or make any other changes.
Shop with Points is currently only available as an individual payment method on Amazon Business. If you are the Basic Card Member and would like to apply Amazon Rewards points to your purchase, ask your Amazon Business account administrator to enable individual payment methods for your account or group. In addition to this, Employee Card Members should check with the Basic Card Member for their account to ensure they are authorized to use Shop with Points for their Employee Card. Please see question 26 for more information.
